Kids helping kids

 

These projects are currently underway at SchoolAid.

SchoolAid launches project appeals throughout the year providing Australian kids with the opportunity to learn about other kids in need both in Australia and abroad.  Our projects respond to urgent humanitarian need either in the face of natural disaster or issues affecting young Australians right here in our own backyard.   

 

Kids Helping Kids Awards

The 2010 Kids Helping Kids Awards is SchoolAid's inaugural national Awards program recognising and rewarding excellence in school based philanthropy. The Awards provide teachers and students across Australia with the opportunity to celebrate and showcase their fundraising activities.

 

 

The Pakistan Floods Emergency Appeal

Launch date: 15 August 2010

Catastrophic floods are wreaking havoc in Pakistan.  This is an unprecedented disaster, with heavy rains continuing to fall, threatening further devastation.  Tragically, this seems to have fallen off the media radar - so SchoolAid is challenging Aussie schools to raise $100 each to make that million dollar aid fund our Founder Sean Gordon always dreams of...

 

Indigenous Literacy Campaign

Launch date: 2 September 2010

Did you know that four out of five kids in remote Indigenous communities can't read to the acceptable minimum standard?

SchoolAid's Indigenous Literacy Campaign in support of the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation asks Aussie kids to put up their hands to close this gap!

Tell us about schools raising funds for kids in need!  Do you know a school who fundraises to support kids in need?  Perhaps it's your local school?  Or the school your family attends?  It doesn't matter how big or small the fundraiser or project - it's the opportunity for SchoolAid to acknowledge the amazing culture of giving, care and compassion in Aussie schools!
