SchoolAid Trust (SAT) respects your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your personal information.

For the purposes of this Privacy Statement, a reference to "we", "us" and "our" is a reference to SAT.  A reference to "you" and "your" is a reference to a registered user of the SAT website.

We may amend this Privacy Statement periodically by providing reasonable notice of upcoming changes.  Any amendments will be reflected on this page.  Unless we need to make urgent changes (for example, to resolve a security issue), we will provide notice of changes 30 days before they are made.  Your continued use of our website following any such amendments will indicate your acceptance of those changes.

What information may be collected?

We may collect any of the following information:

  • teacher, school and supporter contact information (including name, address, email address, phone number, and mobile phone number);
  • your SAT website login details;
  • your donation amounts and the names of SAT projects that you have supported, as well as details of local action projects you have carried out in your school; and
  • records of your correspondence and other contact with us

How is this information collected?

Information may be collected:

  • when you nominate yourself, or when someone nominates you on your behalf;
  • when you register on our website, make a donation, or interact directly in some way with us;
  • from third parties such as our online payment system where we gather reports of donations made; or
  • from our own records of how much you have donated and the local action that was taken

How is this information used?

Collected information may be used to:

  • provide you with information on your chosen project;communicate with you about the work that we are undertaking; address any feedback or complaints you may have; or
  • develop, improve and market our projects.

We do not sell or trade our contact lists.  We maintain information on schools and supporters in our database in order to share information that may be of interest to other SAT website participants.

 

Privacy and the Internet

We take the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously.  Your username and password which gives you editing rights for your group profile page is secured using 256 bit SSL security.

 

Statistical tracking

Our website uses Google Analytics to monitor and track traffic that uses our website.  This information is anonymous (that is, the information collected does not allow any individual to be identified).  For more information please visit www.google.com/analytics/index.html.

Our website may contain links to other websites that are operated by third parties.  These links are provided by us for your convenience.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any website or organisation other than our own.  Upon accessing a third party website, it is recommended that you read and understand the privacy policy of that website.

Your Rights
