SchoolAid's FREE Teacher Resources are made possible through the generous support of the Telstra Foundation. |
SchoolAid's Springboards to Philanthropy is all about enabling and empowering primary school kids to make a tangible difference to the lives of other children - kids helping kids - through commitment and action. Our vision is to instil in young Australian children the values that give them a feeling of compassion, and a sense of moral and social responsibility towards others who are not as fortunate as they are. And then to turn those values into behaviour, and the knowledge that "together we can make a difference".

Using the Springboards to Philanthropy - Generic Learning
Each of the Springboards focuses on the processes of learning and includes Points for Reflection and Links to Philanthropy.
It is intended that these points be central to all of the proposed learning experiences and integral to the children's knowledge, understanding and learning as they reflect on life and values in the context of our society and the global community.
In this context the intention is to move beyond a focus on natural disasters that devastate communities and reflect on issues that are integral to the everyday lives of those who require support and assistance to be able to function effectively.
